Princess Louise, on the left, stands, facing a quarter to the right. She looks ahead, away from the camera. She places her left arm around her sister and holds a flower in her right hand. Princess Helena is seated, facing halfway to the right. She looks ahead, away from the camera. She holds a book open with both hands on her lap. The sisters are posed between two plinths and are dressed in a similar fashion.
