A heavily worked coloured photograph by Laroche of 1855 (RCIN 2906585), possibly Martin Laroche who worked from a photographic studio at 65 Oxford Street, London, 1852 – 62. Queen Victoria received a visit from her brother in March 1855 when she described him as looking 'well & fat' (RA VIC/Y 100/11).
