photograph of a full length portrait of Prince Alfred, later Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (1844-1900), standing, facing slightly towards the left. He turns his head and looks towards the camera. He poses with his left hand on his hip. He wears a naval uniform and holds a glove in his right hand. The frame which origninally contained the photograph as a mount signed and dated 1858.
