Photograph of Karl, Duke of Glücksburg standing facing front. He holds his top hat in his left hand.  He succeeded his father, Duke Wilhelm, in 1831.  In May 1838 he married Wilhelmine, youngest daughter of Frederik VI, King of Denmark, in Copenhagen.
