MAYER & PIERSON

Benoît Fould (1792-1858)

c. 1858

Albumen print | 9.1 x 5.8 cm (image) | RCIN 2914059

Photograph of a full length portrait of Benoît Fould seated in an armchair, facing three-quarters towards the right. He looks towards the camera. He poses with his legs crossed and tucks his right hand into his jacket.

Whilst the inscription states the photograph was taken in 1860, this is not possible as the sitter died in 1858.
