Following Albert’s premature death, Victoria commissioned the creation of photographs and decorative objects that memorialised her beloved husband

Photograph of Prince Albert's Dressing Room, Windsor Castle. The room features a black marble fire place (RCIN 79838), with a set of fire irons, a mirror and mantel. Candlesticks, vases and a clock are positioned on the mantel. To the right of the photograph is a portrait of Queen Victoria by Franz Xaver Winterhalter completed in 1847 (RCIN 400885). To the left of the fireplace is part of a large wardrobe designed by Morel and Seddon (RCIN 36929).
