Photograph of a full length portrait of Prince Albert (1819-61), standing, facing slightly towards the right. He turns his head towards the camera and looks to the left. He poses beside a fluted column and leans his right arm against the column. He holds a top hat in right hand and his left hand rests on a portfolio on chair. To his right is a covered table with books and a statuette of the Venus di Milo.
The photograph is in an envelope marked 'One Set of Rooms - (Reduced)'.

- A label on a brass tablet (RCIN 55344) suggests that the photograph was 'always placed on the Queen's writing table'
