Photograph of the ruins of Dundrennan Abbey situated near Kirkudbright in Dumfries and Galloway. A pathway leads to a doorway above which are three windows of Gothic design. Ivy covers parts of the ruins. The Cistercian abbey of Dundrennan was established in 1142 . It fell into a state of decay following the Scottish Reformation of 1587.
