Photograph of a group of horses standing in front of a cart loaded with a wooden crate. Behind them is a building surrounded by timber scaffolding. A group of men attend to the horses and cart. On this day, Queen Victoria recorded in her Journal 'Saw from the window, while we were at breakfast the sarcophagus going on a cart up the Long Walk, & at ½ p. 2, drove down to the Mausoleum with Augusta S. The sarcophagus was being moved along on planks, — so far, safe & the cover was also arriving, the whole superintendent by a Scotch foreman.'
