c. 1860

Albumen print | 7.6 x 6.9 cm (image) | RCIN 2320182

Photograph of a view out to sea with tall cliffs in the foreground and an area of grass strewn with rocks in the foreground.

The Quiraing is situated on the Trotternish, the northern peninsula on the Isle of Skye in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland. The large cliffs found on the Trotternish were formed due to landslips millions of years ago. Some of the pinnacles are still fluid today.
