Photograph of HMS Excellent in harbour at Portsmouth as viewed from the rear. Smoke can be seen emerging from the Port side of the ship as its guns are fired. Two men can be seen standing in the rigging at the top of the ship. Smaller vessels including sailing boats surround the Excellent.
