Photograph of the Garr-Valt, near Braemar, running underneath a wooden footbridge that can be seen in the background, spanning the river. Boulders intersperse the water and trees flank the river banks. A man stands on the footbridge.

This photograph was reviewed in the British Journal of Photography on the 15th January 1860 and was probably taken in the autumn of 1859.
