Photograph of the side of a hill with scree and boulders on its slopes. On the left of the background stands a house. A track on the left side leads towards the dwelling. In the far background stand mountains.

The building in this photograph is the Sligachan hotel. George Washington Wilson took many photographs of this viewpoint featuring the hotel and his photographs would have appealed to tourists who had stayed in the area. Sligachan is the name of a settlement on the Isle of Skye, Scotland and the hotel was established in the early 19th century.
