Photograph of a view of Ross Castle, Killarney. The castle, located in the background of the photograph, is covered in ivy. There is a body of water in the foreground. The castle's form is reflected on the water's surface.

A carbon copy is adhered on top of the original albumen print. Carbon prints are more stable compared to albumen prints, the latter prone to fading. Carbon copies were therefore created for posterity.
