Photograph of an exterior view of Muckross Abbey in Killarney. The abbey is located in the background. The abbey is covered in ivy and is located in a grassy area, surrounded by trees. In the foreground are two trees that serve to frame the view.

A carbon copy is adhered on top of the original albumen print. Carbon prints are more stable compared to albumen prints, the latter prone to fading. Carbon copies were therefore created for posterity.
