Broadstone Terminus, Dublin
c.1880 after an original of c.1860Carbon print | 7.4 x 7.4 cm (image) | RCIN 2320068
Photograph of a view of the Broadstone railway station in Dublin. Four men, all wearing dark clothing and top hats, stand in front of the building, facing towards the camera.
A carbon copy is adhered on top of the original albumen print. Carbon prints are more stable compared to albumen prints, the latter prone to fading. Carbon copies were therefore created for posterity.
