Photograph of the painting 'Enthroned Madonna and Christ Child with Angels, Saints Paula and Agatha' (c.1500) by Michele Ciampanti (1463-1510). At the centre of the work is the Virgin Mary seated on a throne, holding the Christ Child. In the foreground, saints Paula and Agatha kneel before the Virgin Mary. Angels stand in the background.
At the time of the photograph, the painting was attributed to Filippo Lippi (1406-69) and was in the collection of J. W. Brett. The painting is now in the collection of the Birmingham Museum of Art, United States of America.
