Photograph of the painting 'Waiting for the Ferry' by William Frederick Witherington (1785-1865). The painting depicts groups of people standing on one side of a river. In the foreground on the right is a man, a young girl, a woman and a woman on horseback. Two dogs play on the left. In the middle ground is a woman and a man. The latter holds a fishing rod and waves at passengers on the approaching ferry.
