Photograph of the painting 'Martin Luther and the Wittenberg Reformers' (c.1543) by Lucas Cranach the Younger. At the centre of the painting is John Frederick the Magnanimous, the Elector of Saxony. Martin Luther stands on the far left. On the far right is the scholar Philipp Melanchthon, pointing upwards. A putti features in the lower left corner.
At the time of the photograph, the painting was in the collection of George Grimston Craven, 3rd Earl of Craven (1841-83). The painting is now held by The Toledo Museum of Art, Ohio.
