Photograph of a painting of a portrait of the poet Alexander Pope (1688-1744) after Sir Godfrey Kneller (1646-1723). Pope is portrayed half length, seated at a table. He rests his head in his right hand.
At the time of the photograph, the painting was attributed to Jonathan Richardson (1667-1745) and was in the collection of Sir William George Granville Venables Vernon Harcourt (1827-1904).
