Photograph of a panel from 'The Trinity Altarpiece'. The panel depicts Margaret of Denmark, wife of James III, kneeling, facing left. Saint George stands behind her, wearing armour and holding a flag featuring St. George's Cross. The panel is photographed in a frame. At the bottom of the frame is a metal plaque containing citation information.
At the time of the photograph, the panel was attributed to Jan Gossaert, or Jan Mabuse. The work is now attributed to Hugo van der Goes. The panels were lent to the 1857 Manchester Exhibition by Queen Victoria. The work (RCIN 403260) is in the Royal Collection.
