Photograph of a painting of Saint John the Evangelist, after a work by Domenchino (1581-1641). Saint John is seated at a table. He holds a book and a piece of parchment. There is an eagle in the upper left corner. The eagle, believed to be the bird that flies closest to heaven, is Saint John's attribute.
