Photograph of a painting of a self portrait by Sir Peter Paul Rubens (1577-1640). The artist is depicted half length, facing right. He turns his head slightly to gaze at the viewer. He wear a wide brim dark colour hat.
The painting was lent to the 1857 Manchester Exhibition by Queen Victoria (1819-1901) and remains in the Royal Collection (RCIN 400156).
