Photograph of a painting of a half length portrait of Robert Cecil, 1st Earl of Salisbury (c.1563-1612). He wears dark clothing and a ruff. He places his right hand on a table, beside a collection of letters. Part of an identification number, '84' can be seen in the lower right corner.

The painting is now held by the National Portrait Gallery, London.
