Photograph of a painting depicting the Virgin Mary, Christ Child and an infant St. John the Baptist. The Virgin Mary holds the Christ Child in front of her. The Christ Child stands and holds his right hand up in a blessing gesture. They both look down at St John. St John gazes up and holds a cross. The painting was photographed in its frame, shown in the upper edges of the photograph.
At the time of the photograph, the painting was attributed to Pesello (c.1367-1446) and was in the collection of William Ward, 1st Earl of Dudley (1817-85). The painting is now attributed to David Ghirlandaio (1452-1525) and is in the collection of the National Gallery, London.
