Photograph of a painting of Henry Thomas, Lord Cockburn by Sir John Watson Gordon (1788-1864). The sitter is depicted full length, standing, facing slightly to the right. There is a tree behind him, in the middle ground. In the background, on the right, is a building that resembles a castle. An inventory number can be seen in the lower right corner.
At the time of the photograph, the painting was in the collection of the Royal Scottish Academy. The painting is now held by the National Galleries of Scotland.
