Photograph of the painting 'Lord Grey and Lady Mary West as Children' by William Hogarth (1697-1764). Lord Grey stands on the right, holding a small puppy by the back legs. The puppy appears to be in pain. Lady Mary stands on the left. She holds a biscuit and a teething toy.
At the time of the photograph, the painting was in the collection of George Harry Booth-Grey, Earl of Stamford and Warrington (1827-83). The painting is now held by the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum, St. Louis.
