Photograph of a painting of, or after, 'The Triumph of Cleopatra' by William Etty (1787-1849). The painting depicts Cleopatra seated on a boat. Groups of people stand on the boat, or on the bank to greet the ship. There are a group of angels, of putti, in the upper left corner.
At the time of the photograph, the painting was in the collection of Henry Du Pré Labouchère (1831-1912). 'The Triumph of Cleopatra' is now held by the Lady Lever Art Gallery, Port Sunlight.
