Photograph of 'Queen Catherine of Aragon's Interview with Capucius, Henry VIII's Ambassador, at Kimbolton' by Charles Robert Leslie. The painting depicts Queen Catherine seated in a chair, covered by a blanket. Capucius stands beside her, on the left, and gazes down at a piece of paper he holds in his right hand. A woman, possibly a maid, and a man stand on the right side of the painting. A painting of Henry VIII is positioned above the fireplace.The painting depicts a scene from Shakespeare's Henry VIII, act 4, scene 2. An identification number can be seen in the lower left corner.
At the time of the photograph, the painting was in the collection of J. K Brunel. The painting is now held by Mead Art Museum at Amherst College.
