This may be a portrait of Mr William Middleton who was employed as an upholsterer in Queen Victoria's Household at Balmoral Castle. In 1882, The Queen 'walked out' from Balmoral Castle and visited the Middleton's in order to give them a gift to mark their Golden Wedding anniversary.
