Photograph of a view of St Clare Castle on the Isle of Wight. There is a fountain in the foreground.

The Royal family visited the castle on a number of occasions. Notably, Princess Alice and Prince Louis of Hesse honeymooned at the castle in 1862. Following a fire, in 1960 the castle was demolished.
