Photograph from an album of the Royal Family standing on a lawn on the Balmoral estate. From left to right are: Prince Alfred (1844-1900), later Duke of Saxe Coburg and Gotha; Prince Frederick William of Prussia (1831-88), later Frederick III of Prussia; Princess Alice (1843-78), later Grand Duchess of Hesse; Prince Albert Edward (1841-1910), later King Edward VII; Queen Victoria (1819-1901); Prince Albert (1819-61) and Princess Victoria (1840-1901), later Empress Frederick. The young Prince's in the photograph wear kilts and Glengarry hats.
