JOSEPH CUNDALL (1819-95)

Letter from Joseph Cundall to Charles Ruland sending photographic prints of Raphael drawings and promising more shortly.

5 Apr 1860

Loose manuscript paper; mounted | 1 document (4 pages) (whole object) | RA VIC/ADDA10/85/109

Cundall writes that he is sending two photographs, of the Raphael drawings owned by Harcourt Vernon and Henry Farrer. Those belonging to William Stuart and Lord Leconfield are so dark that the photographs need to be re-touched by an artist and re-copied; they will be ready soon, as also those of Lord Ward's drawing/s. He will then ask when Ruland wishes the negatives to be sent to Buckingham Palace.
