A photograph of the so-called ‘Esterházy Madonna’, a painting by Raphael (1507-08) now in the Szepmüvészeti Múzeum, Budapest (inv. no.71). When catalogued by Ruland (1876), the painting was then in the Gallery of Prince Esterházy, Budapest.
Showing the kneeling Virgin supporting the Christ Child with both hands, who sits on a rock and points at the Infant Baptist, who kneels down on the left; in a landscape.
