An outline-etching reproducing a composition attributed on plate to Raphael. Lettered with production details and titles. Published in C.P. Landon, Vie et Œuvre complète de Raphaël Sanzio, 1803, plate 418. The composition is better known through a print of this subject by Battista Franco, a late state impression of which can be found at RCIN 851327.

The print shows the full-length Virgin seating on the ground and holding the Christ Child on her lap, with the Infant Baptist seating at left under a tree.
