A photograph of a cartoon drawn by G. Koch from the so-called ‘Madonna della Seggiola’, a circular painting by Raphael (c.1514) now in the Galleria Palatina, Palazzo Pitti, Florence (inv. no.151). Showing the Virgin seated in a chair, holding the Christ Child on her knees and embracing Him with both arms while looking at the beholder, with the Infant Baptist standing behind at right and looking up with clasped hands.
