Study of the Virgin and Child

A photograph of a drawing by Raphael (c.1507) now in the Albertina, Vienna (inv. no.IV 209r). The drawing is a preparatory study for the so-called ‘Bridgewater Madonna’ (c.1507), a painting currently on loan to the National Gallery of Scotland, Edinburgh (inv. no.NGL 065.46) from the Duke of Sutherland Collection.
