    A photograph of a drawing by Raphael (c.1509-11) formerly in the Musée Wicar, Lille, and now in the Musée des Beaux-Arts, Lille (inv. no.456r). The drawing at the centre of the sheet is a study for Raphael's so-called ‘Alba Madonna’, a painting now in the National Gallery of Art, Washington DC (inv. no.1937.1.24). The other sketches may relate to other Virgin and Child compositions by Raphael, possibly the ‘Madonna della Seggiola' (Galleria Palatina, Palazzo Pitti, Florence, inv. no.151) and the ‘Madonna della Tenda’ (Alte Pinakothek, Munich, inv. no.WAF 797), but not directly connected with any known painting by the master. At upper right are some architectural studies.
