Glass plate negative of a wooden pavilion possibly located within the grounds of a royal residency. Visible in front of the structure is a group of people, including Princes Louise, later Duchess of Argyll (1848-1939) and Prince Alice, later Grand Duchess of Hesse and by Rhine (1843-78).
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. Prints from this negative do not seem to exist in the Collection.
