Glass plate negative of of a full-length group portrait of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert with eight of their children. The group are posed, from right to leftt, Prince Leopold in a pram, Prince Alfred, Princess Helena, Princess Alice, Albert Edward, Prince of Wales, Prince Arthur, Princess Louise, Queen Victoria, Victoria, Princess Royal and Prince Albert. Photograph taken in the Buckingham Palace Gardens.

The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exists in the Collection, RCIN 2106407.
