Glass plate negative of a full length double portrait of Queen Victoria and Princess Beatrice. The queen stands beside the young princess, who stands on a chair. The queen looks down at her daughter and places her arms around her. Princess Beatrice looks outwards.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. Prints from this negative exist in the Collection (e.g. RCINs 2900310 and 2149032).
