Glass plate negative featuring two full-length double portraits of Princess Victoria, Duchess of Kent and Princess Alice hand-in-hand. Whilst in one image both figures are standing, in the other image Princess Alice looks downwards towards the Duchess who is sitting besides her. Photographs taken in Buckingham Palace.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. Prints from both images exist in the Collection, RCINs 2513463 and 2513464.
