Jun 1860RCIN 2082601
Glass plate negative of a full length double portrait of Princess Helena and Princess Louise. Princess Helena stands, facing three-quarters to the left. She holds her hands together in front of her waist and holds a flower in one hand. Princess Louise is seated, facing towards the camera, turning her head to the left and looking ahead. She holds a book open with both hands, positioning the book on top of a plinth. The sisters are dressed in a similar fashion.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exists in the Collection, RCIN 2900344.
