Princess Helena (1846-1923)
May 1860RCIN 2082611
Glass plate negative of a full length portrait of Princess Helena standing, facing a quarter to the left. She gazes downwards and poses beside a balustrade. She places one hand on the balustrade, on top of a shawl, and holds a book in the other hand. She wears a dark coloured dress with bows.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exists in the collection, RCIN 2900301.
