WILLIAM GEORGE LACY (D. 1861)
Princess Beatrice (1857-1944)
c. 1861RCIN 2082607
Glass plate negative of a full length portrait of Princess Beatrice standing, facing towards the left. The princess turns her head to look directly at the camera. She leans her hands against a pile of books placed on top of a stool in front of her. She wears a short-sleeved dress and a hairband.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. Prints form this negative do not seem to exist in the Collection, however a variant from the same sitting is represented by 2418605.
