Glass plate negative of a three-quarter length portrait of Princess Amalie of Hohenlohe-Schillingsfürst (1821-1902) seated, facing slightly towards the right. She turns her head three-quarters towards the left and gazes ahead, away from the camera. She is seated next to a table. She holds a book in her hand.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. Prints from this negative exist in the Collection, RCINs 2917824 and 2906638.
