JOHN JABEZ EDWIN MAYALL (1813-1901)

Prince Philippe of Belgium, Count of Flanders (1837-1905)

1860

RCIN 2082493

Glass plate negative of a full length portrait of Prince Philippe standing, facing towards the camera. He turns his head halfway towards the right and gazes ahead, away from the camera. He rests his left arm against an ornamental pillar.

The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exists in the Collection, RCIN 2907584.
