Prince Arthur, later Duke of Connaught (1850-1942)

1860

RCIN 2082595

Glass plate negative of a full length portrait of Prince Arthur standing beside a chair and facing towards the camera. He gazes to the right, away from the viewer. He poses with his legs crossed. His one hand rests on the back of the chair, while he holds a cap in his other hand. He is depicted in Highland dress.

The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. At least one print from this negative exists in the Collection, RCIN 2900296.
