Glass plate negative of a painting of 1840 by John Partridge showing Prince Albert in Field Marshal's uniform (see RCIN 404543).

The painting Commissioned by Prince Albert (1841) and given to the Duchess of Kent, Queen Victoria's mother and also his aunt.

The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed.
