Glass plate negative of a full-length double portrait of Luis, Duke of Oporto and his older brother, Pedro V of Portugal. Pedro V is seated on a chair on the left, facing three-quarters to the right. He turns his head towards the camera and gazes ahead. The Duke stands behind him, on the right, with his thumb tucked into his jacket and his other hand resting on the shoulder of Pedro V. Photograph taken at Osborne.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exists in the Collection, RCIN 2906559.
